Saintsbury was founded in 1981 by Richard Ward and David Graves, two friends who came to wine with scientific backgrounds – Ward in structural engineering and Graves in biology. Richard and David believe that innovation, experimentation and critical focus on the vineyard and winemaking is the best route to increasing quality. Saintsbury’s “philosophy of investigation” has helped make them one of America’s foremost Pinot Noir producers.

It’s a joy to experience with loads of raspberries and cherries, hints of mushrooms and cola, crisp acidity and enriched with a touch of sweet, smoky oak. The alcohol is nice and moderate.
