Silver Oak Cellars

Silver Oak Cellars was founded in 1972 with a single goal: to create a Cabernet Sauvignon that would be deliciously drinkable upon release, yet worthy of cellaring for years to come. The Duncan family continues that philosophy today, and grows their grapes from only two locations - Napa Valley and its northern extension, Alexander Valley. Silver Oak remains consistently America’s #1 most requested Cabernet Sauvignon.

Silver Oak 2011 Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

Our 2011 Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is a harmonious and vibrant wine. This full-bodied, classic expression of Alexander Valley Cabernet in a cool vintage has a bright ruby-red color with purple undertones. The nose exudes aromas of black cherry, cedar and black olives. On the palate, its dried herb, cocoa and lavender flavors are framed by dusty tannins and a savory texture. The wine finishes with lively acidity and a lingering persistence. Given proper cellaring, this wine should give drinking pleasure through 2029.

Silver Oak 2010 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

Our 2010 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is a seamless wine that expresses bright, fresh fruit characters from an unusually cool California vintage. It has a vibrant, ruby color and a complex nose of boysenberries, blueberries, sage, licorice and roasted chicory. It has a luscious mouthfeel with notes of fresh fruit and carnation flowers on the palate. It has fine-grained tannins and a velvety texture that leads to a long, fruit-filled finish. Given proper cellaring, this wine should give drinking pleasure through 2031.
